Here is the latest truck that we built for our good customer and friend Mike. This truck is equipped with the Dirt King long travel race kit up front and Ultra 4-Link suspension system in the rear. He’s running the Raceline RT951F Forged Ryno Beadlock wheels with 37” Toyo MT tires. Behind the grille is 5 Baja Designs XL80s, 2 XL Racer Editions, and a 30” S8 bar. For fiberglass he has the Fiberwerx one piece clip and 6” bedsides. There is a ton of custom fabrication on this truck as well. Up front is a custom Dirt King bumper with an aluminum valance. The rear has a large storage trunk with 2 spares mounted on the lid. The interior has a 2” DOM roll cage, custom aluminum center console by Corrosive Design, and 4 custom PRP Comp Elite seats.
The Reveal Party
We had an after-hours reveal party to show off the truck and all the hard work we put into it over the past year. We invited the truck owner, employees, family, & close industry friends. There was catered food, drinks, and entertainment. Towards the end of this event we teamed up with Terra Crew to film a Built to Destroy episode for their YouTube channel. This was our first time filming with Terra Crew and gave them an open invitation to cover any future builds of ours!
During The Build Process
When you see photos of the truck being built you start to under stand how much work is involved in a project like this. The first step is CAD designing the modifications that we'll be making to the vehicle based on the customers requests. Once all the CAD drawings were approved then the fabrication team got to work disassembling the vehicle. This includes all interior cab components, door, bed and all suspension. When doing a full build like this it's important to complete one task at a time. We started with the interior cab cage, next the tubular back half and trunk, then the engine cage and suspension. Throughout the project we worked with some great companies like Corrosive Design, LineX San Diego, Independence Electric, and Blacart. The end result is something that the customer and everyone involved is proud of.
