1. Raise the vehicle and prepare for installation

a. Safely support the vehicle.

b. Remove the front wheels.

2. Upper control arm removal

a. Remove the ABS line from the upper control arm.

b. Remove the upper control arm ball joint nut.

c. Support the knuckle and separate the ball joint from the steering knuckle.

d. Remove the two rear upper control arm bolts.

e. Remove the upper control arm.

3. Install the Dirt King upper control arm

a. Install the Dirt King upper control arm onto the chassis using the OEM hardware. Snug the hardware; do not fully tighten at this time.

4. Install taper adapter

a. Install the ball joint taper adapter onto the ball joint pin.

b. Install the ball joint pin with the adapter into the steering knuckle.

5. Torque hardware

a. Torque the ball joint nut to 85 ft lbs.

b. Torque the upper control arm rear bolts to 128 ft lbs.

6. Attach ABS line

a. Cut the OEM ABS zip tie from the ABS line.

b. Secure the ABS line rubber grommet to the provided Adel clamp and mount it onto the upper control arm.

c. Torque the Adel clamp hardware to 75 in lbs.

7.Review your work and repeat steps on the other side

a. Confirm everything is installed correctly.

b. Ensure the ABS line has enough slack and that the control arm is not contacting the shock reservoir, if applicable.

8. Reinstall wheels and align the vehicle

a. Reinstall the wheels and torque the lug nuts to your wheel manufacturer’s specifications.

b. Have the vehicle aligned at a certified shop. If equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), ensure recalibration is performed.
