Parts Included
1. Tools Needed
a. Gather tools needed for the job:
- Breaker Bar
- 21MM Socket
- Socket Wrench
- 21MM Wrench
- Torque Wrench
2. Raise the vehicle and prepare for installation
a. Safely support the vehicle by the frame.
b. Support the rear axle.
3. Remove shock
a. Remove the lower shock hardware. Do not discard it.
b. Remove the upper shock hardware. Do not discard it.
c. Remove the shock from the vehicle.
4. Install shock
a. Insert the Dirt King shock into the upper shock mount and install the mounting hardware.
b. Install the lower mounting hardware.
c. Torque the upper and lower mounting hardware to 85 ft-lbs.
5. Driver side orientation
a. Shocks are side-specific. Ensure the driver-side reservoir is positioned toward the rear of the vehicle.
6. Passenger side orientation
a. Shocks are side-specific. Ensure the passenger-side reservoir is positioned toward the rear of the vehicle to clear the factory exhaust.
7. Review your work
a. Inspect all components to ensure they are properly installed.
