Parts Included
1. Disassembly
a. Remove the bolts from the clamps holding the brake line, wheel speed sensor, and brake wear sensor to the upper arm and knuckle.
b. Remove sway bar end links from the lower control arms.
c. Disconnect the upper control arms from the knuckle.
d. Remove the shock from the vehicle.

2. Shock install
a. Install the Dirt King shock with the reservoir hose pointing toward the front of the vehicle.
b. Install the washers and nyloc nuts to the top mount. Torque to 35-ft lbs.
c. NOTE: Aftermarket upper control arms are required with these shocks to allow for the additional down travel they provide.

3. Shock install continued
a. Align the lower mounting bar pin to the lower control arm. Ensure the flat surface of the bar pin sits flush on the control arm and the rounded side faces up.
b. Apply red thread locker to the lower shock bolts and torque to 50-ft lbs.
c. Insert the upper arm ball joint into the knuckle and torque to the manufacturer’s specifications.
d. Install the sway bar link using the OE hardware and torque to 37-ft lbs.

4. Mount reservoir
a. Remove the factory bolt for the front plastic protector.
b. Slide the reservoir mount between the plastic protector and the frame. Install the factory bolt through the center hole of the reservoir mount.
c. With the reservoir mount parallel to the frame, secure it with the provided metal screw in one of the smaller holes.
d. Insert the reservoir into the clamps and torque the socket head bolts to 12-ft lbs.

5. Final assembly
a. Reattach the clamps for the brake line, wheel speed sensor, and brake wear sensor.
b. Repeat steps for the opposite side.
c. Have the vehicle aligned at a qualified shop. If your vehicle is equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), ensure they are calibrated as well.
