Parts Included
1. Raise the vehicle and prepare for install
a. Safely support the vehicle.
b. Remove the front wheels.

2. Remove upper control arm
a. Before loosening the alignment cams, mark the location and positions as you will need to reinstall them the same as removed.
b. Remove the cotter pin and loosen the castle nut from the upper control arm.
c. Separate the upper control arm from the steering knuckle using a ball joint puller.
d. Remove both upper control arm alignment cams.
e. Remove the upper control arm from the chassis.

3. Modify factory droop stop
a. Remove the factory brake line tab at the bump stop bracket.
b. Mark cut lines on the factory bump stop as shown in the image.
c. Using an appropriate tool, cut and remove this section of the factory bump stop. Be careful not to cut to the point of the threaded insert, as the brake line will need to be bolted back on.

4. Paint exposed metal
a. After cutting, paint any exposed bare metal to prevent rust.
b. Remount the brake line bracket to the bump stop.

5. Install Dirt King upper control arm
a. Install the new Dirt King upper control arm using the factory alignment cam hardware. Be sure to reinstall based on your previously made marks.
b. Torque alignment cam hardware to factory specifications: 192 ft-lbs.
c. Install the ball joint to the steering knuckle and torque the nut to 81 ft-lbs.

6. Inspect work
a. Inspect all components to ensure they are correctly installed.
b. Ensure all fasteners are properly tightened.
c. Repeat the steps on the other side of the vehicle.

7. Reinstall wheels and align the vehicle
a. Reinstall the wheels and torque the lug nuts to your wheel manufacturer’s specifications.
