Parts Included
1. Raise the vehicle and prepare for installation
a. Safely raise and support the vehicle.
b. Remove the front wheels.
c. Disconnect the battery negative terminal.

2. Remove air box
a. Unclip the air box top latches.
b. Remove the air filter.
c. Pull upward on the air box lower assembly. It is held in by rubber grommets and will pop up by prying upward.
d. Set air box aside and out of the way.

3. Remove the ECU
a. Unlock the three ECU plugs by opening the latches on top of the ECU. Unplug the harness.
b. Remove the bolts retaining the ECU to the chassis and remove the ECU from the vehicle.

4. Remove the upper control arm
a. While continuing to work on the left side of the vehicle, remove the ABS line bracket from the upper control arm.
b. Remove the fender aprons to the left and right of the upper control arm.
c. Remove the upper control arm ball joint castle nut.
d. Using a ball joint removal tool, separate the upper control arm ball joint from the steering knuckle.
e. Remove the rear upper control arm pivot hardware and remove the upper control arm. Keep the nut and bolt while discarding the washers.

5. Install the new Dirt King upper control arm
a. Install the Dirt King upper control arm onto the chassis using the OEM bolt and new washers.
b. Ensure the provided washers are located to the outside of the bushings as shown.
c. Snug the hardware, do not fully tighten at this time.
d. Insert the ball joint into the steering knuckle and install the nut.

6. Torque hardware
a. Torque the rear UCA hardware to 173 ft-lbs.
b. Torque the ball joint nut to 85 ft-lbs.

7. Attach ABS line
a. Pry open the OEM bracket tabs and release the ABS line. Discard the bracket.
b. Use the provided zip ties to secure the ABS line to the upper control arm.

8. Reconnect the fender aprons
a. Reconnect both fender aprons.

9. Review your work and repeat steps to the other side
a. Repeat the steps on the other side of the vehicle.

10. Reconnect ECU and air box
a. Reinstall the ECU.
b. Reinstall the air box.
c. Reconnect the battery negative terminal.

11. Reinstall wheels and align vehicle
a. Reinstall the wheels and torque the lug nuts to your wheel manufacturer’s specifications.
b. Have the vehicle aligned at a qualified shop. If your vehicle is equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), ensure it is recalibrated.
