DK-817904 Instructions

Parts Included
1. Raise the vehicle and prepare for installation
a. Safely support the vehicle.
b. Remove the front wheels.

2. Mark the OEM alignment cams
a. Mark the location of the alignment cams with a paint pen or marker prior to removal.

3. Remove the sway bar
a. Remove the sway bar link bolts from both lower control arms.
b. Remove the sway bar mounts at the chassis and remove the sway bar.

4. Remove the OE lower control arm
a. Remove the lower shock bolt.
b. Remove the lower control arm ball joint attachment.
c. Remove the alignment cam hardware.
d. Remove the OE lower control arm.

5. Install the lower ball joint attachment
a. Remove the lower ball joint attachment castle nut from the OE lower control arm.
b. Remove the ball joint attachment.
c. Install the taper adapter onto the Dirt King lower control arm.
d. Install the OE ball joint attachment to the Dirt King lower control arm and torque to 103 ft lbs.

6. Install Dirt King lower control arm
a. Install grease fittings onto the lower control arm. They should be facing the ball joint when installed correctly.
b. Apply grease to the outside of the lower control arm bushings.
c. Install the Dirt King lower control arm into the chassis mounts. Do not tighten alignment cams at this time.
d. Install the lower shock to the control arm. Secure using the provided hardware and torque to 221 ft lbs.
e. Install the ball joint attachment to the steering knuckle.
f. Rotate alignment cams to your previously marked positions.
g. Torque alignment cam hardware to 207 ft lbs.

7. Review and repeat steps on the other side
a. Inspect all components to ensure they are correctly installed.
b. Repeat all the steps on the other side of the vehicle.

8. Optional sway bar link kit
a. In order to retain the sway bar, please purchase optional DK-817955 kit.

9. Reinstall wheels
a. Reinstall wheels and torque the lug nuts to your wheel manufacturer's specs.

10. Align vehicle
a. Have the vehicle aligned at a qualified shop. If your vehicle is equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), ensure it is recalibrated.
