1. Raise the vehicle and prepare for installation
a. Disconnect the positive and negative battery terminals.
b. Safely support the vehicle.
c. Remove the front wheels.

2. Remove the lower control arm
a. Mark the cam bolt position with a paint pen or marker before loosening. The control arm must be reinstalled in the same position and location as removed.
b. Remove the shock lower bar pin hardware.
c. Remove the lower control arm sway bar link nut.
d. Loosen and remove the alignment cam hardware. Note the location from which it was removed, as it will be reinstalled in the same position.
e. Carefully remove and lower the control arm from the chassis pocket mounts while it is still attached at the steering knuckle ball joint.

3. Install weld washers
a. Install the Dirt King weld washers onto the frame. Note the shape of the plates, as they are specific to front and rear. The front plate is pictured here.
b. Mark the areas of contact between the weld washer and the chassis. Remove the weld washers and clean the chassis to bare metal for welding.
c. Clamp the weld washer to the chassis. Ensure the pins are aligned with the weld washers before welding.
d. Cover any exposed surrounding areas that could be harmed by weld heat or spatter.
e. Place the welder ground clamp directly onto the weld washer.
f. Weld the washer in place.
g. Allow it to fully cool, then paint.
h. Repeat the process for all four plates.

4. Reinstall the lower control arm
a. Install the lower control arm into the chassis pockets.
b. Install the alignment cam hardware in the same location and position as it was removed. Use your markings for reference.
c. Torque the alignment hardware to the factory spec of 210 ft lbs.
d. Install the lower shock bar pin and torque to your shock manufacturer's specifications.
e. Install the sway bar link and torque to the factory spec of 111 ft lbs.

5. Inspect your work and repeat the process on the other side
a. Confirm that everything is installed correctly.
b. Reinstall the wheels and torque the lug nuts to your manufacturer's specifications.
c. Have the vehicle aligned at a qualified shop if needed. If your vehicle is equipped with ADAS, ensure it is recalibrated.
